The cost of house renovation depends on scope, materials and site conditions. A full internal renovation typically costs DKK 6,000–12,000 per m². A combined external and internal renovation costs DKK 14,000–20,000 per m².
Renovation in Greater Copenhagen is generally more expensive than in smaller towns. We recommend getting at least three quotes and sending the same brief to all contractors. Always include a contingency of 10–25% in your total budget.

Renovation rarely involves just one trade
A renovation almost never touches a single trade. If walls are moving, the job starts with internal demolition. If the bathroom is included, it is usually the most expensive and most time-consuming part of the project, and the process and price level are set out under bathroom renovation.
Floors, windows, doors and fitted interiors fall under carpentry, while new tiled floors and walls are covered under indoor tiling. If the outdoor areas are part of the job, we also lay outdoor paving for terraces and driveways. We coordinate the trades so you deal with one contact.
